Ok I looked up the cooling system at my ALL DATA contact and from what I can see it looks like my outlet heater core hose fitting to the block is leaking, the metal hose with the temp sensor on it is the one I am talking about.

But looking at it with my own eyes from the top it seems like it is another hose which is leaking onto my header. I called up the local dealer and the outlet hose is discontinued but the inlet that I DON'T need is in for $8, would I be able to buy a generic hose with the same diameter from Autozone and cut it to size?

What do you guys suggest and think is the correct hose that is leaking? Would a picture help?

If it's the rubber on the end of the metal heater tube, the split hose can be removed and replaced with another section of heater hose and a clamp. You'll have to split the factory metal crimped clamp. I used a hacksaw blade I think.

Benifits of a Gen 1 is that its as simple as just replacing a piece of hose, since ford hadn't yet come up with that stupid crimp hose section on the tubing yet. One word of advise is to use a piece of silicone hose for longer life.
