I'll be placing my order for my SHO this week and it's killing me what color to pick. Its between the Sterling Gray or the Ingot Silver. I'll be getting the 20's too.

So what is everyone really loving??

I personally think the 20's look better on a darker car so my vote would be for the Sterling Gray. Good luck and I'm sure you will love your new ride.

Thanks! I had a LaCrosse on order last year and cancelled and waited for the 2011. Now Ive done a 180 and have a hate going on for GM and really liked the looks and performance of the SHO.

And for the color so far the Sterling Gray is winning!

Congrats man, and welcome to the forum! The new blood and fresh enthusiasm you GEN IV guys bring is much appreciated!

Of course everyone's taste is different. When I was shopping for my SHO I looked at a few different colors. I was initially interested in the platinum white pearl metallic since that's the color of my winter car (Mercury Mountaineer). Fortunately there was a Taurus in each of the colors sitting in a row. To me, the white and silver did not offer enough contrast with all the bright pieces like the headlights, grill, and other chrome accents. I really liked the Kona Blue and tuxedo black. I also liked the red, but it was too close to the color of my wife's MKZ. I'm glad I went with the black, it has a good contrast with the bright pieces. The downside is that it seems like 85% of the Gen 4 SHOs out there are black. The next 12% seem to be red.

Silver Ingot w/ 20's...car looks cleaner!

However, if it is the 2011...get the Kona Blue w/ 20's and crome rims...very cool!

I've got the white tri-coat with the 20's and it looks nice. I would opt for the silver as it goes with the rims very well!

:huh::nuts:

Welcome to the forum jobes! :wave:

I would go with the Sterling Gray. I've seen one in person and it looks great. The gray also won't be as plain-Jane as the silver.

Many Candy Apple Reds out? My wife seen one on TV and loved the color.

That's one of the most popular colors around here, but there are a lot of Ford managers that drive new SHOs so theres like a million around Dearborn.

Welcome to the forum jobes :wave: First time I saw the Kona Blue was on a KR with white stripes, it looked absolutely awesome. I saw a Kona Blue Taurus on the Thruway a couple weeks ago, it looked OK. I just kinda caught it and didn't get a good look. For me, the problem is that we're constrained by only having black for an interior choice. Mine's Tuxedo Black, the novelty of the crushed glass in it has worn off, I'd like a straight limo black better. IMO, a lot of the SHO colors only look really good when the car is clean and is in bright sunlight.
