Opened my sunroof for the first time in a couple of months.

And then promptly closed it after forcing myself to try it for just 5 minutes! A don't know a single person that dislikes sunroofs or convertibles as much as I do. I never even pull the shade open on mine. Maybe some complex I have from rolling over my '72 Nova in the ditch when I was 16 years old? Am I the only one? My wife rolled over a 2000 Chrysler LHS with all of the kids in the car and they were all four trapped in their seated positions and had to be dug out by a guy that stopped because the sunroof caved in and let all the snow in and fill the interior.

I think I opened mine once in the five years of ownership. I SHOULD open it to bl0w out the vent lines, BUT it sits in a clean garage 24/7 and I have no plans to drive in the rain, so...

I use the rear sunscreen all the time when I park not so much when I drive, the auto park don’t use just play with it every now and then.

My son showed me how to open the "sunscreen" a couple of years ago, but I haven't touched it since. Never used the "self park" feature either.

When I drove my 90 I opened it anytime it wasn't raining. Same holds true on the Stinger.

Love the pano-roof on my MKS as that's something I'd like on my replacement ride.

Are some of you guys living in your mom's basement, too? I don't know how you can have a big pano roof and not have it open. Being a New Englander who loves the seasons, there are few things that I enjoy more than having the moonroof open on a brisk fall day with the heat on low and letting the air come in. Nevermind gorgeous summer days or the occasional warm winter day.

Another New Englander here who also likes the sunroof open, for fresh air and sunlight. Being six feet, the cabin feels a little claustrophobic, especially since I always want to move the drivers' seat back and down a a few more inches. Never tried parking assist, could be fun though. Discovered by accident (not literally but almost) my SHO had the massaging drivers seat. Silver, with 2 rollovers in the family I think anyone would be leery of sunroofs and ragtops. While on the topic of features, has anyone successfully updated their nav/sync for the newly renumbered highway exit numbers? If yes, was it a quick fix or several hours which is how long it took when updated it last year.

Not a fan of sunroofs either, I've never had one that worked properly or didn't leak. I also enjoy the extra head room not having a sunroof being 6'4 and all. As for convertibles, a teacher in high school told me a story about a guy that borrowed his galaxy convertible and rolled it with the top down. Everything from his upper lip to the top of his head was ground off by the pavement when he slid, that story alone stopped me from even looking at conv cars.

I am mixed on moonroofs. When I had them, I rarely ever opened them. I just like them for the light that brightens up the interior.

The option I wish that mfrs would offer, but only a handful of us would buy, would be a fixed glass roof, with a manual sliding sunshade. Relatively simple, and probably about the same weight as a steel roof. Plus, very little headroom lost (gotta fit the helmet!).

I think the Ford C-Max offers just that.

Well, I wouldn't buy an MB, and they don't make the C-Max any more. Not that I would buy one. A Ford buddy of mine leased two in a row, as the 2-year lease prices were stupid cheap, but it was just

Yup, they don't make them anymore. However, I have had an urge to buy one for the longest time and I have no idea why. Nothing remotely cool about them other than being efficient, but I just have a desire to own one just because! lol

Sunscreen is great for bright lights behind you. That's about it though.

I wish mine had the rear sun-shade. I wouldn't necessarily drive with it up, but while parked and in the sun? Heck yeah, keep the interior cool. But I agree with typical moonroofs, I don't use them. However, I did recently rent a Caddie with that full pano-glass ceiling? That thing was cool, and I could see driving with at least the cover out of the way to enjoy the view. I also wish I had the massaging seats, but you can't have everything.

My V had the panoramic roof or whatever it's called. Very nice touch. The SHO screen works really great when some guy is behind you in a pickup with those LED's!!

The massage seats were an instant hit with whoever messed w/ them while riding w/ me!
