Opened it up on highway... Cut out at 100

I was getting on the highway with my 97 today and I opened it up had an open lane as I hit about 100 the car kept pulling but kind of was cutting out here and there and was jerky.....any ideas? No check engine light.

Has the SHO had any smoke issues (thinking fuel injector issues possibly)? Might be worth checking out the knock sensor wiring, though that was primarily a 2010-12 problem. Could also be a fuel pump/Fuel Control Module problem, though a code should eventually be set. Don't go by CELs, not all codes trigger a CEL. Use the tuner to retrieve any codes stored in the PCM. Oxygen sensor/MAP sensor issues are another likely culprit (again, there should be codes). And, like it or not, since so much engine control is electronic, there can always be loose wiring/connections somewhere.

My first guess when you get cutting out under heavy load, which accelerating at 100 mph would be, is always the coils. Often they do not throw codes when they are first starting to go and are intermittent.
