Sr. SHO Engr.
The SHO Convention provided the opportunity to get the SHO back on the road race track and wear out the last bit of rubber off the R-compound tires and farther wear the track pads. The site was Eagles Canyon Raceway in north Texas on July 30 and the track was reserved for the SHO folks, which included a Boss and GT Mustang and a few non-Fords.
My well-traveled SHO ran without a problem for the day's sessions. Only the lack of traction in the first two wet sessions kept things below normal.speeds. It still amazes me what the SHO can do after all those miles. After riding in a Chump Car/Lemons SHO and another that was well set up for the track, it also amazes me the violence that can be wrung from the SHO engine and chassis.
Long live the SHO!
