Well I have been keeping water in my sho because of a cracked end tank in the radiator, and to my surprise, one of the bottles leaked all over the floor and since I don't drive the car much during the week, it has been sitting since Sat night. Well I need to NOW know how to get mold/mildew out of the carpet and what helps remove the smell??

you can take it to your local detailing shop and get it shampooed out. It's probably your best bet. shouldn't cost more than 30 bucks. Most detail shops have odor killers/removers also. Good luck with it.

If you have one of those hand held stream vacs, that would probably help, if you were going to try and clean it up your self. Other then a stream vac a detail shop would probably be your only other option.

Well I was going to plan on shampooing it tomorrow and see if that helps. Is there any over the counter stuff that helps get rid of the odor tho? THnaks.

i had a similar problem and to get rid of the smell i washed the carpet and then sprayed it with anti-bacterial febreeze, took care of it nicely. i also left the windows open for a few nights to let it air out.

If you use a chemical might want to try it in a spot that isn't noticable at first. Many of the anti-mold stuff have bleach in them and other chemicals that might hurt the look of the carpet.
