half-way there, I think.
You will want to make the repair soon. The oil will short the plugs/wires. The car may start to run rough and miss badly. You will want to replace the valve cover gaskets and install new plugs and wires after.

Make sure you get all the oil and other stuff out before you remove the spark plugs and let it all ooze into the cylinders. There's dirt and sediment that flows with the oil.

How much oil is it using, ie, how many miles (or km) per quart (or liter).

The oil leaking into the plug wells is probably only a small part of your overall oil usage.

well i cant really tell how much oil per mile, because my speedometer isn`t working.. i don`t drive much, and it`s not a gallon of oil a day exatly.. 500 km needs about 1 litre..
is it much work to change the gaskets, top and bottom..

Nothing you can't handle. Your first time will take a little while. Just make sure you label stuff as it comes off (bolts and hoses)to make reassembly easier. The rear valve cover is cramped and a little tricky to set correctly. The most important thing is to use a torque wrench or if none is available to tighten the bolts to "snug" and not tight. The metal of the bolts and the threaded holes are very soft metal and you don't want to fix either if you can avoid it. It happens alot so be aware. None of these bolts are common, cheap, or readily available-especially where you are.

that is probably the biggest problem with my car.. i can`t even get washer blades to my window here north.. but we have a pretty good chance to get parts, a company is shipping 2-3 containers of farts every week, so it`s not that hard, but it`s a 14 days delivery(minimum)..

i read a post about the intake, he had a proble,m with fitting after he took it of.. should it be easy to put on, or should i get a ford mechanic to to it..==??

i dont have the best workshop myself, just my fathers garage and a small jacklifter..problem nr 2 is inch tools, in norway it`s not so easy to get inch tools.
are there any do-it-uself movies about this theme. are there any good explnaitons to find?

Thats odd, mine is metric (14 mm I think) I think it even says "metric" on the head. The only car I have worked on that had inch stuff on in a long time is my mother-in-laws old 78 Chevy pickup
