Where can I purchase just 1 oil pan plastick shield screw and spacer? I've called to dealerships and was told I need to purchase the complete underside shield. I find this ridiculous. The car is still under warranty and the dealership is probably the one who didn't install it well after an oil change. I had to put a tie down in the meantime.

There was another thread on here by someone looking for these. I don't recall if they ever found a source of the screws. You might try searching the forum for that thread.

I suppose someone could buy a complete pan and split the cost 4 ways, selling the remaining 3.

By chance has anyone checked the McMaster-Carr catalog for Camloc fasteners? It seems they have everything else....

I tried and don't find anything. But I'm not very familiar with their catalog, and don't know the exact name of the fastener. Maybe someone more used to navigating their site or paper catalogs will have better luck?

I find it so stupid that we can't purchase those by themselves. What the **** happens if a Ford Mechanic doesn't install one of these correctly and it falls out? We are then supposed to dish out $200 for a complete assembly because somebody messed up? Unreal.

Just do what I did and buy a tap remove the el-chepo clips and tap the holes for wing headed bolts. Ford screwed my camlocks too, its because those clips are junk.

They look like Dzus fasteners, I have a bunch but have never tried them in the taurus. I'll check them out to see if they will work. Kurvey girl sells them for cheap and contrary to another post, they're not junk.

I will check and see if they work in our belly pans.
