I replaced my old oil level switch with I used one because it did not function. Was fine for a few months, then after a long road trip it started to leak huge... massive oil puddles on driveway not cool.

I pulled the switch and put teflon on the threads, replaced the gasket, and then tightened the snot out of it, It's still leaking!! WTF?

is the leak likely coming from the threads where it goes into the oil pan, or do they normally break down and leak internally into the connector part?

My drain plug has less sealant on it and it doesnt leak... Gotta be leaking internally into the connector part right?

Ughhh!!

Yep, they leak internally inside the connector. I rebuilt the 3.2 before I put it in my 91, new everything. After storing it one winter, i noticed a small puddle of oil. I thought it couldn't be possible after replacing every gasket, but it was my oil level switch. Still on my list of things to do, but I'll wait until I have the motor out again

I think my solution for the time being is going to be a M 20 x 1.5 bolt!
Never leaked before I replaced it... shouldn't have touched it. F!
