Ok I have my idea as to what cause oil in the plug wells. I think I'm gonna throw that out, and find out WHAT EXACTLY it is. Any input is GREATLY appreciated, as my roommate and I both have the problem, but it's in my wells, but the plug in his back driver's side corner is actually wet with oil.

Your problem is that the plug well seals are bad and they are leaking. This is very common problem with SHOs as they get older.

It's time for a 60k for you. I will have the complete guide on my website in a couple days, check it out.

If nothing else, a new set of valve cover gaskets from AutoZone for $72 and a few hours work will fix the leaking problem.

There are those who have rejuvenated the seals through various means and reused the old ones. Your milleage will definately vary if you do so.

Be sure to get the oil out before you remove the spark plugs. The whole job is pretty easy. You can get a Chiltons manual from O'Reilly's if you plan on fixing your own car all the time.

My brother has 100K on re-used valve cover and plug well seals. (I have about 30K). No oil in the plug wells or valve cover leaks anywhere. I will always re-use the top end seals, I can spend the $72 on other mainance issues. Costs me $3.00 for a tube of form-a-gasket sealer from the local hardware store.
