What in the dash of my 93 SHO with MTX has oil in it, I'm getting a oil drip onto the gas pedal and when you look up in the dash there is oil on the wiring. I have not taken the dash apart yet, but if anyone knows anything about this, it would be a great help.

Check the wiring under the hood from the deactivation switch on the bottom of master cyl. It is probably leaking internally and travelling through the wires. I have fixed several cars with this problem.

I checked it out this weekend and it is coming from the speedo cable, now that I know this, how do I fix it. Is there a seal at the trans end of the cable or does the cable need to be replaced? Thanks for the lead on where it was coming from. I have one mechinic here that said that oil could not come up the speedo cable, but I pull the dash to see for myself and yep there was oil on the back of the speedo. Thanks agin, Allen

After checking with the local Ford Dealer I find that Ford had put out a service bulletin on changing the speed senser and speedo cable, to stop this very problem. The seal in the speed senser is what goes out and lets the oil go up the cable into the dash. Parts from Ford to replace-$59 for the senser plus the cable, parts from local parts house $39 for senser and $12 for the cable. Thanks for the help, Allen
