but its a matter of getting it to turn that I'm having problems with and I am put some big time force onto it.
Hit the end of a rachet with a damn hammer and be done with it unless you done stripped the thing trying to do it with vise grips. That was a stupid move because vise grips can't get a full grip on the bolt head and are easy to slip off and strip away the bolt head. You're making things harder than they actually are. I can take a rachet and hammer and remove lug nuts torqued to 150lbs, much less an oil pan bolt.

I can imagine the look on the face of whoever removed the oil pan bolt and was waiting for the oil to stop pouring, and/or had to stop the flow and grab another drain pan!
