but its a matter of getting it to turn that I'm having problems with and I am put some big time force onto it.

Hit the end of a rachet with a damn hammer and be done with it unless you done stripped the thing trying to do it with vise grips. That was a stupid move because vise grips can't get a full grip on the bolt head and are easy to slip off and strip away the bolt head. You're making things harder than they actually are. I can take a rachet and hammer and remove lug nuts torqued to 150lbs, much less an oil pan bolt.

I'll have to see if I can find the reciept the P/O gave me. So you saying I should drive it out to that place?

This bolt defiantley isn't moving.

You may also be able to get a copy of the charge from your credit card issuer, if you paid with a cc.

If the vehicle is driveable, I sure would take it back. Why should you have to pay for repairs or live with an oil pan they damaged/ruined? They might even try to hide the prior damage by repairing it without notifying you !

Until that bolt is removed, it is obvious "who" improperly installed the bolt and damaged your oil pan as a result. Once it's removed, they can claim anyone cross-threaded the bolt, including yourself.

What, you were turning the wrong way or were trying to remove something other than the oil pan bolt?

No it was after that. I really don't want to talk about it right now, maybe later.

Jeez you guys have good memories I thought I would get away with out telling the story. But lets just say that the amount of oil that was supposed to be put in was a "little" to much.

I've decided I'm saving the story for the convention, so if you want to hear it, you'll have to show up in Kalamazoo! :thumb:

Wow...that's amazing if you didn't blow any oil seals! :oogle: I can imagine the look on the face of whoever removed the oil pan bolt and was waiting for the oil to stop pouring, and/or had to stop the flow and grab another drain pan!

That happened to me on an old Torino I had. I had to keep adding tranny fluid and could not figure out where it was going.

One day the engine started gurgling and I checked the oil. It was way up the dipstick. It had all been sucked up through a bad vacuum modulator. I bet there was 5 gallons in the engine.

Ran good after the cleaning though. :)
