Oil Cap won't come off !

As the title says, my oil cap won't come off. It just clicks no matter which way I turn it. How do I get this off to replace it ?

Thats don't sound fun. Try pushing down on it hard while trying to turn it out. Or pulling up. If thats not working maybe someone else has better idea to get it out other than my last idea of destroying it to remove it.

Just pull the butterfly handle off with a big pair of pliers. You can then easily unscrew the actual plug.

Sounds like a plan. I guess I need to get a replacement first.

well you can still kinda put it back together after, but it will just click both ways...use channel locks...

The pivoting head of the cap rotates freely of the base. Just grab the base of the cap and turn.
