Oil burning

So i was just wondering. Does anyone else burn about a quart of oil every 5,000 miles. I use mobil 1 synthetic, and change the oil every 5k. By about 4,000 miles i have to add about 1 quart of oil. I know this isn't right, but i've come to expect it on a car with 114,000 miles. Anyone else?

There is nothing wrong with that oil consumption at all. Every engine is going to use some oil even when new.

That amount of oil consumption, matched with that mileage, and it being synthetic oil is not bad at all. Just make sure you keep it full.
