Well i changed my oil today, no biggy. But i did put a FL-1A in. had a couple laying around. anyways, i get done with the change. Start the car up, it finds its idle, then i hear a ticking noise... im like ok that isnt my chain tens.
that makes a different sound. So i get under the car, while running, and i hear it from the bottom end. Im like s***, rod bearings! So i get back in to the car and give it a little gas. And the ticking goes away, right as i give it a little, and once it gets back to idle, it starts ticking again. Now the chain tens. is different it will ticking on and off, its not a steady tick. this tick was constant. But right as i gave it gas, and not even 200 rpms go by and it stops. I mean the milisecond i give it gas it stops. not like the chain tens.
I read a couple threads on it, but from what i read it, sounds like the tick is supposed to stay there when you give it gas. Is this something different?
If it is rod bearings, where do i get them from?
i know that this is a weekend task, so as my daily driver, i need to do it fast, but if it something not as bad then, it could wait. (Got a really good Job, paying out the a$$. $15/hr.) So need yalls help yet again.. thanks

It wouldnt be the thing knocking from low octane by any chance would it? I messed with a friend of mines integra today that was doing the same thing and it was because of not having enough octane.

On another note, what is it you do for a living? I need to get that job here! :D

i drove the car last night for a while, and it did amazing! Who knew that changing the oil could give you some ponies! :bonk:
When i got offline last night, awhile after i changed the oil, i went to go drive her. when i started her up, she was fine. ran like a ****** of race horse!
Stang, it did it weither the clutch was in or not, when it did do it.
Could it have been from having her jacked up for too long, or in that position?
But other than that she is running fine! i'll go wake her up right now, but she does get alittle gruppy in the mornings.

:bonk:

thanks for the responses!
oh karson, im a sub at my old schools-elementary school.

i thought about trying to be a sub at my old school but theres already so many subs there they dont need any more. Plus the kids tend not to respect someone who is 5 foot 9 and weighs 140 pounds soaking wet....Mabe its different at the elementary schools, i need to look at that cuz all i looked at was doing it at the high school... It is a thought though, I might have to seriously look into that again

Glad to hear the sho is fine, mabe it just needed the oil to get in there real good. Glad its not anything bad. Take care man, Karson
