Now to catalogue the entire experience of my purchase from Livernois Motorsports to driving away from the shop with parts installed and tune programmed.
Lots of research went into funding the parts I wanted. I looked at quality of parts, price of parts, parts I wanted, company reputation, customer service reports and amount of knowledge about the engine by the company.
All of this brought me to Livernois Motorsports. I purchased the level 4 package. That includes the thermostat, sparkplugs, CAI, 3 Bar MAP, catted downpipes, Corsa cat-back exhaust and MyCal tuner (with tunes included). Initially I didn't get much response via email after a couple of inquiries, but a phone call changed all of that. Everyone I talked to was friendly and knowledgeable of their parts and services. Soon, the package was headed my way. I was sent a FedEx tracking email so I could have peace of mind regarding the location of my purchase. I had the parts delivered to a local shop where the with was being done. When the parts arrived I inventoried them all and found the 3 Bar MAP was missing. One email explaining the details and I had another FedEx taking number emailed regarding the shipping of the new MAP. All parts came with simple instructions that any mediocre wrench skilled person could accomplish and add advertised.
The shop initially estimated 6 hours to get everything done. The parts were such an exact fit and the use of a lift, pneumatic tools, and a heat gun turned it in to a 3 hour job. It's amazing how fast things get done when the price for work had Ajay been negotiated and payment is less than over the table (friend of a friend). Only gripe was that he forgot to reconnect the bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor. A quick reconnect and zip tie in place and everything was happy (even the check engine light).
My tune took less than 24 hours to get back to me once requested from Livernois. They were good enough to send me one I requested but they do not recommend (87 octane...I just don't want to get stuck in nowhere land with only a 91 and 93 tune).
Livernois Motorsports delivered 100% on everything i wanted and expected. Car sounds mean but is still smooth and easy to accelerate under mild throttle. The car will squat down and move under WOT. I am running the 93 tune since I have had stations near my house and work with three correct has.
Thanks Livernois, I'll let you know when I am ready to go a step further and get larger turbos.
