If you think removing the neutral interlock, then putting a remote starter on your manual is a good idea, you should turn your car in and ride public transport. That is one of the dumbest things you can do to a vehicle, and you are begging for a lawsuit / criminal case when (not if) you start your car in gear and it runs into another vehicle / person / small child. Just don't do it.

Furthermore, they make remote starter kits that are made for manual transmission cars

I've known several that have done this, but only one took the time and effort to build a shifter mounted "neutral lock out" switch. It was very ingenious. Unless the shifter was bounced off of the right side of the neutral gate, and then the left side, it would not allow the starter to spin. When the shifter was pushed into any gear, it reset the mechanism. He also had an override button wired so he didn't have to jump through hoops to start the car.

He was the only one of the several that didn't have a funny story to tell.

Don't get me wrong. I've thought about what could happen, lol. It's Just my first car in a while that doesn't have it. I was only considering it cause I think the neutral switch is going bad.

I bet none of your thoughts have involved your death and/or a protracted prison sentence. Because they should.
