So far so good, where's Frank and the brats? The farther south we go, the longer my drive back home will be lol... but I can hardly turn down a free brat :woohoo:

I drove about half the route a few weekends ago, kept getting stuck behind bicycles and old folks driving 15 MPH... got some good pics, though: Kettle Moraine pics on Flirckr

About half a mile west from the gas station is the Ice Age center, you can pick up maps from there.

Oh, and most people call me "Ben" :salute:

And Dan, I'll PM you my cell # in case I get lost LOL

I am 27 miles south of your starting point, about 7 miles west of Slinger. Slinger is just about half way on your trip south. Some brats, some dogs, some pasta salad, some nachos.

OK... I have the trip planned out to start in wacousta... we are stopping by frank's for a bit of a lunchtime break.... so dont eat a late breakfast if you want brats for lunch!!!

I'm assuming you are providing the brats frank?... i know you are the sausage expert :)

Did you want us to bring beverages... or buns for the brats?... Chips?...

After lunch we can go to the nearby airport and take pictures! then we will resume the drive.... we might end sooner than whitewater... Dave, can you PM me on this (joe sent me a message and i would like to talk with you about it before posting)

Dont bring anything but yourselves. I have some 2 liters of soda, bottled water, lite beer. You dont have to stay long, kids and I need to head to downtown around 2:15. I will have stuff ready to go by noon or so. The airport is cool, friend has a couple planes there. Big grassy slope to angle the cars for photo. Just please respect the quiet subdivision, lots of kids play in the streets because of very little to no traffic. Looking forward to it.

Sounds good, I'll probably head back north after the airport then, should be an enjoyable morning / afternoon either way.

Okay, Joe and I talked it over. This "cruise" will end in Oconomowoc, Either at my house or Joe's. Him and I both agreed that mine would be better. If anyone else has any input that would be great. Thanx

Yeah Dave and I talked things over and since Adam and Michelle are not able to attend and the plans were to atleast end at her appartment and decide what if anything to do after, we thought it might be easier to end in Oconomowoc and figure out what to do

I hate to do this and all of you are going to hate me with a passion but I'm going to bail on the cruise. I seriously want to go but things just aren't working out like I had planned. Partly because our SHO is running like total sheit (really wanted to take it) and I haven't had a chance to really look at it, but that's not the whole story.....

I have a car up in Kiel, WI that I have to tow back home ASAP to get another Taurus I have on the road again by Monday (motor swap) :nut: . Well even with that unexpected turn I then planned on getting the car first and then swinging down to meet with all all of you at the starting point (Citgo). Then heading down to Frank's (with the truck/trailer) for some grub and most likely heading back home after that. Well now I have to be back home at noon for something and I can't miss the appointment so that in itself kills the whole thing.....

Once again I do apologize for this and I rarely 'eat my words' but this time I will have to and believe me they don't taste good.....

I will most definately stay in touch via the forum and will be waiting for the next local meet, maybe when it's a little warmer out too.....:sun:

Sincerely,
~Justin :thumb:

I made it to Frank's for lunch and then I headed back, I ended up driving back on the scenic drive route again all the way up to highway 23. North of Dundee on the scenic route there are some CRAZY twisty roads with nothing to stop you if you leave the road except for lots of trees. I scared the crap out of someone in a minivan, they were going about 15 and I was way behind them when he went into a really curvy area, I was on his bumper by the time we got through and he pulled over to let me by lol...

Nobody's car caught on fire and nobody went in a ditch, and we may or may not have broken every speed limit in sight for an hour straight. And we (almost) didn't get lost *cough* Dan *cough*

I may have been new to the group (the rest of which is probably still partying down in Oconomowoc, if you ever stop by Auto Connectionz tell them "hi from the SHO guy" for me lol...) but I had a great time :thumb:

Here's the line-up shot from the airport, I must be really bad at aligning my car :nut:

I had to work, and to be even more evil they called me in early today. I couldn't even rant about it here because I had to wait to be approved.

BTW
spragers, that kid eying up your red SHO in the Kmart parking lot with the light blue SE that had fog lights.... :naughty:
