ok...What brand and model is this "small" dry nitrous kit you have... As far as E3 plugs DO NOT USE THEM....I used to sell them, out of the 50 sets i sold, about 40 came back within 3-6 months.

I am wondering this also. Are the lines actually plastic? They aren't a stainless woven AN line? I am beginning to smell the odor of an epic fail. :munch:

I don't know model for sure, but this is NOS kit, it is not exactly plastic line, it's like capron, or whatever you call it, nylon, i think.

SHOracer14, are you talking about dry 100shot setup or wet?

You do not need an FPR for 100 shot. Because you have the 155 lph pump you should be OK with that. You do not need to tune the car because the wet kit is providing the additional fuel needed when the nitrous is engaged. A proper dry kit compensates using vacuum to the FPR to add more fuel. It's never a bad idea to have a wideband O2 just to verify you aren't going lean but, a 100 shot and lower is no big deal. I've never heard of a simple dry kit as you explained... please tell me it isn;t some cheapo ebay crap someone dreamed up with some compressed air and duct tape.

Either or, I was explaining the difference between the two (wet and dry) in the above quote. Simplicity would be a dry kit with 100 shot, you should be ok with the 155 lph pump, but that's as big as you can go. If you use your direct port setup you can use the 100 shot as well but you are also maxed out with your current fuel system. Any bigger and I would suggest at least a wideband O2 to monitor whats going on and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as I stated before.

ah, ok, this explanation I understand a lot better now. Here is another one: If I used 100 wet with 155lph and O2 and it would look like the car is running lean, would I need to get a Tweecer or something? Or There is a way to programm LPM for that?

well if it is only running lean under wide open on nitrous u could go up one size i.e. number on the fuel jet to ad more fuel and that should even things out but u will be slightly richer at lower rpm witch at times is good since it will soften the hit of the n20 a bit so u wont blow to the tires off the car. thats how i dial in my race car and how i did my turbo coupe for best performance at to gain a little traction at the hit of the spray

What he said... if you don't get an adjustable FPR tuning the LPM for nitrous will mean you have a crappy tune when not using the nitrous.

we had a thread on COPs not sure if you read it or not..

COPs on stock tuning is more of a bling factor then a real gain.
granted it will give you a hotter spark in factory form but not enough to really call it worth wild.

you got the right idea tho NOS and hotter spark threw COPs but like was said tho just run a good set of plugs and give that a go first.

i would hate to see you run COPs on NOS then something goes wrong and you burn a piston or something..

i hope area91 chimes in on his setup and i dont wanna say anything to offend him but he was running stock tune with stock injectors and he was able to see 100 shot.. his car ran good... real good..

i highly recommend a wideband for where your going.. my advice is take the money for the COPs and put it to a wideband... you can grab a LM-1 for like $150ish shipped... they are very very good widebands also.. fast responding and also come with the feature of 2 outputs one which allows you to simulate a narrow band which could help you if you arent able to weld a bung in right away you could run it in the stock location.

sorry i ment LC-1 innovate

thank, you this is very good info.
I have read that thread over gain on COPS, don't remember about arear91 talking about that.
I have COPS, I bought them a while ago, but I usually buy everything needed first and then do the work, that's the reason why I started asking things about this setup to see if there are more things that I need to buy.Now I see, that I do.
