Hello. My name is Brad and I am a shoaholic. New to these boards, and also new to the SHO. I have owned a Gen3 for a year now. Never intended to mod this vehicle in any way, but a broken transmission works wonders on breaking that goal. It's all original and was welded by me last week with 135K on the ticker. Plugs, cat, o2 sensors, were ALL original. So far, the list is as follows; rebuilt ax4n, new plugs, o2 sensors, valve cover gaskets, welded, Magnaflow cat, custom cai, 3rd cat-res-flex delete, and all new vacuum lines. Future plans... Um, yeah. Got a few. Not new to modding cars, either...

Welcome to the forum. The best mod you can do is sell it and get a first gen.

Haha, now that I have more in it that I purchased it for, I'm stuck with it for a while. No doubt the GenI and II has greater potential (from what I have read), I also love V8's!

Welcome. Looks like you fixed most of what's weak about these cars already. Only advice I have is to check out ebay for cheap ignition coils. I haven't figured out their longevity, but the purchase price is much cheaper than oem and chain parts store pricing.

Yeah, about that. I have a set of Motorcraft coils. In some future thread, I will explain my hardships with this car. Long story short, I got the coils after I put it all back together. Don't feel like taking it apart again any time soon. I did swap bank 1 and 2 coils in case a heat soaked coil from 1 decided to crap out, it would have been a simple fix to swap it while installed on bank 2. I did get them from ebay. $180 shipped for all 8. The intake is dying for a polish treatment or chrome dip, so unless I break something else, coils won't go in until those come out.

Located in Murfreesboro. It is approximately 30 minutes southeast of Nashville, depending on traffic!
