I couldn't find a general or lounge in this forum so I will post it here.
I just bought a spare car for our family as our daughter will be getting her liscence. So I figured why not try a Sho. I am a ford/dodge guy and have delt in yamaha snowmobiles for about 15 years. Been a contributer/seller on totallyamaha for about 13years , username (betheviper). So a Sho has always caught my interest.
After stalking Craiglist for a few months and emailing, calling and sharing pictures with a dozen or so, sometimes crazy, sometimes great people I finally found one that fit the bill. It was ment to be so to speak. I have a friend that lives in Mass that I have had go look at one for me in the past (one of the crazy people). It worked out that the best deal, color, condition was listed 5 minutes from his shop. Thanks Dave.
800$ later, he picked me up a 93 Black sho, 4 new tires, brakes, clean unripped interior, straight body, no rust, with many other new parts, 125k on it, motor just installed with less miles on it as well as trans with less. When both of these were done, many other things were replaced with them. Only major repairs are top three panels needs to be repainted, clear failure. Has an oil leak at valve cover and flex pipe is broke.
Now the problem I have is resisting my temptation to hotrod this car that my daughter will drive. In my past I have failed miserbly in resisting this urg.
Every snowsled, 4wheeler, pickup, even our minivan has Hid lights.
Thanks in advance for all the great information and hard work that has gone into this site. As someone who contributes articles and info on other sites, I know the amount of time and effort that goes into sharing your information.
Will be reading around for a while and will contribute when I can be of help.
Thanks,
Scott
