My 1990 with 66k, has a noisy (bearings) water pump. What do I need to replace it and does the timing belt have to come off? The 60k was done previously (I assume since the valves were correct spec and the timing belt is clearly marked 3.0 and 3.2, and the car has 61k on a 2001 emissions test I found in the car) Anyhow after looking at the archives on here there is a front and back part of the pump??? It doesn't leak at all, just the bearings going bad. (car did not run when I bought and had been sitting for quite sometime) Which brand pump? Just buy the front? Buy both? Does the timing belt need to come off to do it?

I'm actually too tired to post the whole procedure, which I just did about a week ago for someone else....why dont you type in "Water pump replacement" into the search box.
