noisy gears when in gear without load?

in 3-4-5 gear when I leave it in gear with out any gas I hear and feel a rattle or tapping in the tranny what would cause this.
I shifts fine and drive great but makes noise like a set of dry gears what could cause this.
I am thinking of changing the fluid but could this happen because of bad fluid.

Try a more descriptive explanation of the situation. What you wrote could be interpreted in several ways. Only one of those would be correct.

ok I will try to make it clearer. in 3,4,5 gears with the clutch out and engine at a rolling Idle;I hear what sound like gears rapping against each other. kinda like a zp.zp.zp.zp.zp.zp. in first or secound gear I hear nothing. also when I hear the noise I can feel the vibration in the shifter. like I said I haven't noticed any change in shifting or performance.

I recently had a coolant line burst which led to my oil thinning and overheating the engine before I could get the part fixed. could this heat also cause a problem with the tranny fluid?
