Noisy Center Console

As I've added more miles to my SHO the center console creeks and groans over most any bump and gives me an incessantly audible reminder of how stiff this car is. If I apply any pressure to the top or sides it groans. Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes other than tightening all the little screw-like things?

In the past Ive used trick that works on nearly every car...

Just disassemble, then apply those self adhesive felt "bumpers" to rub points. Then reassemble thumb

My F-150 is completely (well, almost ) creak and squeek free because of those little things
