noise from engine

i'm having a slight problem. when i start the car it makes a weird noise when i start it, i can't quite explain it but it sounds like a crakling or something from under the hood. it also idle rough sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. also when i am stopped pressing the brake with it in drive i can feel the car surging. i know the oxegen censors are bad but i dont know if that is causeing this. the oxegen censors were bad before this started, everything started on the same day. if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated

My '95 sometimes has a crackling noise at startup. I only lasts a second, so I attribute it to valvetrain noise before the motor has full oil pressure. When I do the 60K, I'll pay close attention to any abnormal wear.

um.. if you know your o2's are bad... you haven't changed them why??
