no start....sometimes

This has just started(no pun intended) and has only happened 3 times but now its gettin me worried. When I shut my 92 off and come back to it a few minutes later or somethin it'll just click when I turn the key. The starter has about 12,000 miles on it. I've checked connections and everythings tight. Any suggestions?

In a '92 that's built on to the starter, so it should have been replaced at the same time. I would clean all the connections again, especially the small signal wire.

Thats what i was thinking. But what he describes sure does sound like a stater solenoid, my freidns 89 did the same thing and we replaced it and it was ok.

Starter solenoid or a cable (at either end) problem.
