I just rebuilt the top end of my moto. As many may know i suffered from a rear cam failure.

I checked the crankshaft position sensor and camahaft postion sensor. I just dont know. It aounds like it did when i ran out of gas. But it has gas in the fuel rail. So im not sure.

A few times it has tried to start but it just doesnt kick over. The motor doesnt sound like it did when my cams went. I hear no valves clanking and my oil is not dark. So i know i have it timed correctly... Otherwise we would have gas in the oil and or smoke in the valve covers like we did when my cams went.

The cks bolt busted off i just noticed this when i was checking connections. The cam position sensor checked out to be okay.

This is weird.... My tone ring is on correct too. Maybey the battery???

Ill upload a video.

Spray some "quick-start" into your intake hose and see if it runs for a few seconds.
Make sure you have the correct clearance between the shutter wheel and your crank position sensor.

Ill grab some quick start on my way home from work and try to get this baby fired up. The shutter wheel.. Isnt that the thing behind the harmonic balancer inside the timing cover?

Couldnt i just use a small screw driver to adjust it if i pulled my crankshaft position sensor out?

I could've sworn i torqued the harmonic balancer down all the way. But that wouldnt have this effect now would it?

Also could a knock sensor cause this issue?
