Hi, the other day I went to look at another silver 92, because my diff. grenaded. It has 146k and the body is great. The guy wanted a grand for it running but now it wont run(he'll take $500) It has no spark, and the tach moves while cranking so the cps is good. I need help diagnosing the ignition system problem, because i'm going to buy it. Also the rear motor mount is shot, but the dis wasn't cracked. Before it died, he said nobody could figure out the problem, when it warmed up it would shut off, and sometimes it would start right back up. It wasn't the water pump leaking.
I tried putting another dis module and replacing one of the missing ground bolts no luck. Does the coil pack need to be grounded, because the bolts are rusted. I'd like to get it running so I don't have to pay for a u-haul dolly. He said I can work on it at his business. I have a voltmeter, and another coil pack, I don't know how to test coils.
