Well, I got the bugs worked out on this 93 ATX SHO and have power running to the inertia switch, but now it's not making it to the pump [brand new].

Any suggestions on what would cause it not to turn on when the power is passing through the inertia switch?

I would drop the tank, but I don't have any zip ties or in the likes to rig it back up. The previous owner snapped the tank strap bolts off and took out the threaded inserts. No telling how I'm suppose to go about this and fix it, probably some big bolt and nut. I would like to get it running first, then move the car to a better place to be worked on with jacks and stands.

is there power coming OUT of the inertia switch???

So, you put the pump in? That means that you had to cut the access panel right? as you cant drop the tank. So...... pull the access panel and see whats up..

have you tried to manually turn the pump on? Grounding the bottom right pin on the EEC connector?

Yes, but when you do that, it still has to go through the inertia switch. :frown:

Well, the inertia switch has been removed and I jumped the wires together. So, it's bypassed, like how you do the clutch switch.

Well, thanks to Fred [YamahaV6], I was directed to an autostore that supplies insert nuts with bolts in the help section. This was all I needed and I went about dropping the tank to find out the previous owner cracked part of the connector plastic and did not have it installed correctly. I firmly pushed the connector back in, installed the new nuts with bolts, and the SHO fired right up!

Now on to finding out more problems with this SHO that was said not to have had when purchased...
