90 SHO car ran when I parked it a year ago. Need to get smogged now. Put new gas in and battery. Car turns over but won't start always has before. Been working on it I have fuel pressure, spark, tach works. Can spray a little gas in intake will run till that is gone. I have +12V to all injectors red wires, MAF, TPS etc. I am not getting the ground signal to pulse the injectors, I know that for a fact. I can quickly ground a injector and hear it pulse and it puts gas in like a prime by hand and it will almost start. It acts like the ECC isn't grounding the injectors or I am losing that signal between it and the injectors or? Any suggestions other than changing the ECC or getting a brealout box. I am goning to look at ground connections to ECC next. Please advise.

Disconnect the cam sensor and try a few times. With no cam signal, the EEC will guess at injector timing.

Ohm out the injector lines to the EEC. If they're good, it's probably the EEC.

first thing to check is the engine ground - remove the strap on the passenger rear connecting the firewall to the intake manifold, and clean up both ends and reinstall.

then, I would pull the big connector from the pcm and make sure that is all clean and not corroded up, and reinstall.

if you have the same symptoms after that, I would start tracing injector wiring back to the pcm to make sure there are no opens or shorts in that.

Before you do anything, check to see if the ECM is sending grounds out on the non red wires using a wink or noid light. If it is, your injectors are clogged. If you do not get grounds from the PCM, then check the above mentioned items.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Today I pulled the 60 pin plug to the computer and checked from the injector pins on it to each injector and I have continuity to each. While doing that I turned key on and went from pin on plug to battery ground for each injector and all would click. So wiring OK from injectors to plug to computer. Looks like computer bad, it will be about the first time I have seen a Ford go bad. I plan on taking the one out of my other SHO and trying it. Hope that does it. If not will have to figure out what inputs, if any I need to the computer that I wouldn't be getting to fire the injectors.

Well changed the EEC and it started right up. Pulled old one out and hooked up no start, put other back in starts right up. Never seen a Ford EEC go bad even more strange while just sitting with no battery in it, oh well. Now need to drive then go for smog test. Then need to find another EEC code B9C1 or get this one rebuilt. I have another from my 92 SHO MTX code W2Z, but I don't know anything about what will and won't work. I'll search around in this forum and see what I can find.
