when using the heater it seems as if is stuck on vent. I burn power steering fluid off my cat and i smell it strong when i have the ac/heater unit on. Blend door actuator?

the heater will normally pull in "fresh" outside air to blow into the cabin, so if you are burning oil on the right side of the engine compartment, that smoke/smell will get pulled into the cabin.

the blend door actuator controls the temperature by changing how much air goes through or bypasses the heater core.

if the unit is stuck on vent (all air coming out the dash registers) then the other actuator is not working right - that is the one that controls where the air flow goes. the default position is defrost, so almost always when that doesn't work right, all the air is directed to the windshield.

all of the air directed to the windshield is usually a sign that there is no vacuum going to the eatc head unit (it uses vacuum to move the diverter actuator) So, the place to start is to trace the vacuum lines to the dash. Somewhere under the hood (don't recall where off the top of my head) there is a vacuum container that has a check valve next to it (so vacuum stays in the container even when you floor the right pedal) and a lot of times that container is cracked or one of the lines to/from it are broken.
