Posting as Clay (zblackbeast)

So, were doing this motor swap and everything is hooked up that i can remember, and this isnt my first swap.. Now, we turn the key and i hear a relay click, but the CCRM does NOTHING, swapped ECUs, nothing. No fuel pump, no nothing. We tried swapping computers and still nothing.

I went ahead and tried jumping the EEC tester to test to see if it atleast would cycle the fan but it didnt. the CEL doesnt even flash, it just stays solid.

WTF is wrong with this turd?

Where else would there be a ground? Both to the firewall above the computer are tight.

I think someone had this issue in the past and found that there were 2 plugs that would mate together but obviously they were not the right ones to connect. I think I have seen these just over the trans. Would be something to check. Also make sure all your connections are complete and grounds are attached.

Checking now, you're talking about the grey, red and black plugs right?

Okay well we've got fuel and spark, but no fire. Also, curiously, the fan stays on continuously, even while cranking. Any thoughts?

I've got the correct plug wire routing, we have spark, we have injector pulse, we have pressure at the rail and a VERY strong crank.. It just wont start...

Also, like Tim stated, the fan is constantly on.

I would check timing, run codes? I think your missing spark. Usually even if the timing is way off you will get a gurgle or sputter.

The fan on all the time would indicate a wiring or ground issue. Not sure where to exactly look this time.

I mistakenly swapped two plugs in back of motor during a swap and had funky fan issues. Idle Air Bypass and Cold Engine Lockout connectors were the problem children.
To make a long story short, I wound up replacing the ECU to get life back to normal.
