Its not pointless if he wants a small amount of bost, and not over doing it like some people. Zex sells a kit for 55-75, and Venom makes a kit for 35-85. I also herd you can have the valves on the nitrous kit made for a smaller shot for the ZEX.

EDIT, i would not do this to an auto sho, IMO

Especially, on a 93.... :cuss:

I have been thinking of a small shot as well.... I dont see that its pointless.
I was wondering, could you make a kit that was for a carb application, into a FI application.... i was thinking of the sneaky pete kit from NOS, out of Jegs. Is that at all possible? i mean, for what its worth, thats all i really want.... just something for the top end at lets say 135-140.... just to help pull up there....
just an idea though..... is it possible?

My friend (Dr. Evil) had a 55 shot zex kit in his 90 and it seemed to me it was worth it. You take virtually no risk even if you don't really know how to use nitrous, but it still gives you that extra kick and with a car as quick as the SHO stock that is most of the time all you need to pull away from the competition. Any less it might not be worth the $ for the kit, but that is up to you. I suggest the zex dry kit with a 55 shot(smallest).

no it cannot be upgraded. Find smaller jets, they do exist and are not expensive and then you can run whoevers nitrous system you like.

why can't you spray it on the maf?

Why can't you spray the maf like i do in my LS1, Does a MAF in a Ford word differentlly then every other car company? when the maf see's the added volume of gas the car goes full rich. Even if the MAF breaks it should go to full rich. I like the Zex idea that everyone and their dog is using, but I don't see why a dry system spraying the maf wouldn't work.

Spraying the MAF doesn't add teh proper fuel to the combustion mixture. Even in the LS1's. The cold N2O will give yo ua boost in fuel with the GM MAFs but its still not the proper way to run N2O. That being said. The Ford MAFs have a sampler tube that meters a portion of air in a ratio = to that of the total air entering the MAF. GM MAFs measure all the air entering the MAF. They quite different. ALl you will acomplish by running N2O through your MAF is making your car run like ish, most likely lean.

~ a 50 shot is the lowest I would go on a SHO. They are heavy cars and a 35 shot or there abouts is pretty much pointless IMHO.

Buy a Zex kit and run the 50 if you want a little boost. But what do I know...

from what i've been told by a guy from summit racing when i thought about buying a carb kit from their clearance section for my mustang to adapt it to FI was that its not really possible b/c of something to do with diff pressures used to move the nitrous:confused:  ....didn't really make much sense but hey who am i to question him i only know forced induction im no n2o guru
