My friend has a 2001 SS Camaro, he would just spray a dry 150 shot straight through the MAF into the intake, with nothing else. He said the MAF reads the extra oxygen coming in, and some tempature sensor reads the low temp and it adds fuel to compensate. He proved this on the dyno when he made 490whp and 525wtq with a near perfect a/f.
Chebby's are usually programmed a lil' differently than our Ford's. ;)

Would it be SHO Boom if I tried that same thing with a 75 shot?
If you sprayed nitrous into your engine without compensating with extra fuel (either through reprogramming the PCM or modifying rail pressure with an FMU), then your chances of an eventual SHO BOOM are quite high. :omg:

Remember, though, that Chebby computers are usually programmed a bit differently from our Ford's. ;)

Anyways, what does the stock MAF peg at?
The MTX curve pegs at 4.74v, with a DTC being set if the voltage rises above 4.88v.

Actually, in the event of a MAF sensor fault or failure, the V6 SHO's failure mode strategy is programmed to substitute MAF airflow values from a predefined table based on engine RPM and TPS voltage until MAF sensor readings comes back into the proper, predetermined range. Nowhere in this strategy does the EEC use or rely upon a speed density-type failure mode. ;)

well i didn't mean "exactly" :p a speed density but under similar principle as speed density relying on engine rpm, various sensors, etc. just as a ford mustang maf unplugged runs a limp home program relying on various sensors etc.

---anywho how much for the kit???

You'll definately have enough for a dry kit, I'd try putting it on ebay and hope to get at least $500 so you can get a new Zex kit. :thumb:
