Niteshades

Has anyone here used the Niteshades spray? I bought a can and tried it but the lenses came out grey and the finish was dull. Last night I was at E-town and saw a del sol with half the rear lense tinted. I want to tint the reflector on the front lights to match my black car. Any help?

The trick is to use many very light coats to get the desired effect.
