I'm looking forward to some spirited driving on the way down. I will be bringing white lightning so Greg can again give a pathetic attempt at beating me and then blow a diff or a rod or something. After demolishing Greg I'll have enough cajones to step up to another white plus... she knows who she is. Already getting excited. Also I will have those bushings for you Perry if I don't see you before then.

no spirited driving, my speedo ends at 85, then im just running blind speedo. i do get it up to 100 often tho... well, at least i think its 100.... 3500rpm in OD in a vulcan is that.. or al least it is in my dads 04, which i got up to 105.
unless u guys want to dail back by sho speedo and install it before the run????

The meet will be at the Quaker Steak and **** in Sheffield Ohio, that's about 25 miles west of downtown Cleveland. Right next to interstate 90, which is also state route 2. Should be able to see it from the exit ramp. I don't remember the exit number, but it's the first one east of Lorain and Elyria which are at state route 57. For those of us coming from Michigan, western Ohio (Toledo) and Indiana we are trying to arrange a rendevous at Maumee Bay State Park which is about 10 miles east of Toledo. I have proposed an alternate site for the western rendevous, but haven't heard from Beth yet. (so I ain't gonna tell you where that is/was yet)

As stated previously, we need to firm up the details real soon. Let's start with a show of hands from everybody that plans on attending the Q S & L meet this saturday, Dec 11th, in Sheffield Ohio at 11 am. Hmmm, Ok, a small table in the corner should do just fine.
Presumming a bunch of us are going to show up, should we give Q S & L some notice of what to expect??? Those of us coming from the west/north are trying to arrange a rendevoux near Toledo. Stay tuned for details.

Perry, I agree with you on the details. I think Maumee Bay meeting place would be fine. Unless you have something different like you said and Bizzy thinks its better. But I think it should be earlier. Like 9:00 a.m.So we have max BS time for the day. Because the winter days are short.
For Bizzy though. You need to post here at the end that you have updated the very first post, so it easy for people to find the up to date info.

Ok guys, sorry for my lack of participation in this thread.
Meeting up at Maumee Bay is cool by me and someone leading the way to QS & L is cool also. Doesn't really matter the route to me, you guys know Ohio better than I do.
The biggest hangup I have is the meeting time of 9 a.m. It would be very difficult for me to make it out that early because since I moved it would take me about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to get down there. I generally like to be one of the first ones there if not the first one. If you guys decide that's the time you want to meet that's cool, but I'll be late.
How long are we talking about staying there before departing to QS & L? I'll need to know that so I can plan my departure appropriately. Once that is determined I'll update the first post so everyone will know.
Edit: Just read a PM from Perry. If you guys want to meet up at the Tim Hortons near Toledo that's cool by me also. Just tell me where it is and I'll get the mapquest thing going so everybody will know exactly where it is.

Glad to see you back in action Beth. We really need someone to keep us tied together. Ok, as Beth mentioned, I have Proposed, and let me emphasize, only proposed changing the "western rendevoux" meeting point to a Tim Hortons parking lot about 1 mile north of where I 75 and the Ohio Turnpike intersect. That means no route 2, no Maumee Bay park. Specifically it's the Buck road exit on I 75, the next exit north of the turnpike. The drive via the turnpike to Q S & L would be about 1 hr 40 mins under normal conditions!!!!! Yeah, right. This is easy access from I 75, US 23, US 24, US 6 and of course the 80/90 turnpike.. About the time,,,,A 1 pm meeting at Q S & L would let the participants from afar sleep in a bit more. Lets see some hands in the air,,,who's going, when should we get there, how much fun will we have.

I am in for meeting at Tim Hortons but i dont drink coffee though. Also an early meeting time is good for me but dont take my opinion to heart for i am just a newby. 9am-10am would be good for me. SO ONE HAND HERE, I AM IN FOR TIM HORTONS AND Q S & L.
