Picked up a '18 SHO in the beginning of March. Looking to make it just a bit louder, but not obnoxious. I wouldn't mind getting more power out of it however that is not my goal, as it is already very fast to me. (Used to drive a '12 fusion with 4 cyl) Any advice is helpful because i don't want to get in over my head and blow up my new car.

These cars don’t sound the best with exhaust but if you straight pipe from the belly cat back you will get a better sound and more power than stock. I’d highly suggest a Gearhead Or AJP tune only. Making power in these cars is tricky and not all companies are equally skilled.

You might want to just start with a power pack https://www.ghtuning.com/product/2010-2019-sho-flex-explorer-sport-sct-x4-power-pack-package/

If you want more power after that it’s time get some Anthony D trans mounts, intercooler and tires!

Welcome
I’d skip exhaust sounds, stay sleeper and focus on reading up on proper maintenance like ptu and differential fluids that are already 4 years old etc.
These people here give the best advice on upgrades and long life.

Just bulk order the mounts, and add them as an option for the power pack! lol. Honestly though, with a tune from either GH or AJP, the mounts are going to make a huge difference, and should happen even if just stopping at the tune IMO

What’s are y’all experiencing as a respectable turn around time when y’all email AJP? I didn’t want to be pushy and start the tuning relationship off on the wrong foot.

AJP you get in line as he will not take new customers until he is done with what he is working on. GH has a better turn around time. Each has there advantage and imo you should try each.
AJP is more a customer one on one but you have to do your part. He takes smaller steps than GH.

Patience, he has full time job, weekends are best for him, but he will do everything in his expertise to make it right before he moves on. He will make modifications to tune until satisfied.
