HI my name is Jeramy, after sinking much money into my Jeep I decided that it was just getting to extreme to continue being a daily driver. After looking through ad after ad on craigslist and lookin at one pile after another I stumbled across this SHO just before Thanksgiving for $700. Its rust free and other than no stereo or speakers in pretty good shape for having 220k on it. I bought this as just a beater but have fallin in love and now want mod it to make it look better and be faster but still be able to drive daily. Any help or suggestions especially people from the Reno/Carson area if there are any on here, would be appreciated.

Not sure what kind of maintance has been done with this car not much I'm assuming since I have already fixed many rig jobs throughout the car, so after doing some research I think I need a full 60k tune up. Just trying to figure out how much time, effort and money this is gonna cost and I will not be taking it to a shop unless someone knows of a good shop to take SHO's to in Northern NV. Also is there any other things I should replace while doing the 60k?

The 60k covers most of the normal maintenance stuff. Outside of those items, you could look at your coolant hoses and vac lines to see if they need attention. The fuel and air filters are also cheap and easy to replace.

Suspension, rotten bushings, brakes especially the rear brake flexible lines, and the midpoint brake lines tend to want to let go right under the drivers seat. Keeping the SHO on the road is the most important part!:salute:

Cool Pic Matt!

welcome aboard. and like all have said if you dont know what if any maitnence has been done just start fresh and do it all. then once its running well start with the upgrades. first thing i would get is a new y pipe as the stock sutup sucks, then do brakes and suspention. after those start playing with the motor. there is no point in hyping up the motor if you cant control it going down the road

Got any pics of the Jeep? I've always loved the XJs and nothing beats a heavily lifted one.
