I am installing an intrax/tokico setup. I got the MidWest SHO suspension kit, but have a quick (and probably easy) question.
I noticed the new kit did not come with dust boots for the tokicos or the rubber piece that the springs rest upon on the strut.... as the old (stock) one have. Do I have to reuse the old boots or buy new ones and use whatever the rubber piece is called?? Wont it squeek if i don't put that rubber thing under the spring?
I have no doubts that I got everything the products should have come with (Mike was awesome to deal with BTW :thumb: ), I am just lacking the knowledge here.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I third to that. I'm right now in the middle of installing the same setup and I took my old strut apart and took out the bottom insulator for the coil spring, but I am using KYB dust boots. I would have used to original boots but my original ones were filthy inside and I was unable to clean them up.

My KYB dust boots are just slipping off when I tighten down the strut nut, so I definitely would NOT recommend those. If you can't reuse your old dust boots you'll want to pay the price for them (whatever that may be-- 4 KYB's cost me $100 from Advance Auto Parts) and get them from Ford. You won't have any issues with those.

I also wish you the best of luck... I'm still poking around with my rear end and haven't touched the front. I haven't had enough time to do much after work the past few days so I've just been taking a few minutes to clean up the spindles/knuckles and painting them up with some semi-gloss Rustoleum spray paint. I'd definitely recommend you do the same if it's not too late for you to paint the spindles. This of course just keeps them from rusting anymore and it looks SOO much better. Hope I'm not too late and hope that this helps!

P.S. Did you get the GM control arms from Mike for the rear end? I did and I think he may have forgotten to provide those reducing sleeves to make these things fit on my OEM bolts. Did yours come with these sleeves?

I went to the local autoparts and bought new dust boots. Mine were 80!!
No, I did not get the control arms from Mike, but now I wish I had. I am stuck trying to get the old control arm to spindle bushings out. The control arms are still attached to the body. I have a thread started about that issue. I think when I take it in for an alignment, I am going to hand them the bushings and ask them to put them in. My new bushings are adjustable for the extra camber I think I will need to get it back into spec.
