So long story short I wrecked my truck and needed a vehicle and I found this 92 SHO for pretty cheap. Thing runs and drives awesome. Very minimal rust. I'm happy with it. Straight pipe dual exhaust sounds ungodly loud.

My main question is what size wheels are people running on these? I kinda want to leave the paint looking old and faded get a nice set of wheels and tires and have a fun little sleeper.

Here's some pics of the new hooptie PXL 20220410 194838596

Welcome
Cool 92, there’s some options out there but depends on your taste. FYI some Volvo wheels bolt right up.

Welcome! Nice find.

Stock slicers 6x16 take 215/60/16, but a lot of people use 225/55/16. Bolt pattern is 5x108. Looks like your car is lowered so it depends what size wheels you are looking to put on. If you search for Convention, there are post about pictures from the convention of people cars you can take a look at to see different wheel sizes. Here is one from last year:

Good find. The interior pics you posted look really good and that is my number one way of judging how a car was treated. If they maintained the interior they probably maintained the car too.

As far as wheels go, stock wheel(Slicer) is 16x6 +35 and tire is 215/60/16. This is my rule of thumb so take it with a grain of salt...

On a stock wheel I prefer to run a 225 or 235/55/16 for a little more meat.
If you want a 17" wheel then I would look for a 17x7 or a 17x7.5 with +38/40 and a 225/50/17 tire.
For an 18" wheel then you would look for an 18x7.5 or 18x8 with +42/45 and a 235/45/18 tire.

All of those combos will bolt right on and keep the the speedo very accurate and should not rub even when on a lowered suspension.

Chad thanks for that answer that was the exact info I was hoping for. I think I'm going with 18x8 and wasn't sure if they were going to fit.

And yes besides one crack on the dash by the steering wheel and the heat/ac buttons faded and worn the interior is showroom quality.

Get what's referred to as the Hard Button EATC. In the later years they revised the climate control to having solid buttons that can't crack. Very common swap for the early cars with the cracked buttons.

From everything I have been reading I totally get where your coming from, so far I love it, last big sedan I had was an 06 SRT8 300c, as fast and fun that was, the total sleeper, uniqueness and just plain obscure this car is, makes it sooo much cooler. And already noticed so many looks today from people visibly baffled by the mean sound this makes (has full exhaust done previously :D)

I love everything about that car except the oem stereo setup (integrated w/climate control & aftermarkets don't fit right) and the lack of parts especially gaskets and $h!t. Other than that I really loved mine until the t ranny went out. The engine could have run forever. Make sure your camshafts are welded. They can get loose from the sprocket and frag the motor. Once that is out of the way, mine ran great up near 200k miles when I had to ditch it.

Yeah that stereo lol, I wondering about making a cut out or bracket somewhere to mount a single dim deck. Need to look further. As for cams, sure are welded :) . Pretty turn key car as far as SHOs go it seems.
Is ShoSource still the most widely used parts supplier? I am a lil worried about parts availability. A dead parts car for random discontinued parts like the ABS module would be sweet.

Yeah shosource is about as good an option as there is anymore. I think I was looking for some gaskets for a GenIII for someone a little while ago. I got pretty disgusted with what is no longer available. I put a single din in the storage pocket below the Climate control near the shifter in park. It was functional but I never bothered to make it pretty and blend in. I really did enjoy that car. It was way more reliable than any GenI and II I ever owned...which is why my daily is a '14 f150
