I just installed some new motorcraft plugs and it was going well for a while and now, sporadically, I get a loss of power where it sounds like its missing or misfiring. The last time it was like that is when I bought the car and it was misifing because of the autolite plugs they had in there. And when I cahnged them I got the power back. Now it's sporadically doing that again. What is it that I need to do? Change the wires now?

Double check all your connections are good. If it ran fine prior to replacing the plugs, it's likely the wires.

Spray a mist of water on each wire with the engine running, if there is a fault with the wires it will become apparent when you get them wet. It's best to do one wire at a time as a process of elimination. Wouldnt hurt to check for codes as well.

It didn't run fine before I changed the plugs. It was sputtering before I changed the plugs but after I changed the plugs it ran like a champ. Now it sputters sporaciaclly on a random basis, mainly when I take off from a stop. Then it'll go away after a couple of seconds then its power comes back.

I'll bet ya that one of your plug wires is not seated...happens to me when I pull the front bank plug wires out to clean the oil out...it's a once a year process for me...my plug wells have a slow leak..I clean out the 1/2" of oil every spring..problem is (in my case) after seating the plug wires, there is always 1 that takes a few hard pushes to get seated again...then it's good for the year...lol..nearing the 7th year and have YET to pull that intake off (lucky to say the least) next time your engine hesitates, pull over/shut her down/pop the hood and check to see if one of your wires is not fully seated...not saying that is your problem, but worth a look..works for me..Knock on wood..
