I just got new Fuel Injectors, New Plug Wires, and new Plugs...I hooked the plug wires up correctly, but now when I am idleing and some times when i am driving it seems to power down and sputter a bit, the rpms go down...I am about fed up with this car and I am about to get rid of it, I have put so much money into this and I am about sick of SHO's and I am going to do away with it and get me another mustang....Please help if you can

Well unfortunately, that comes with the territory of owning a SHO. Its not IF a problem arises, but WHEN. And when you do go about trying to solve this problem with no luck, your aggrevated even further. First thing that comes to mind is SELL.

The problem could be simple, and in your face. Did you double check to make sure that you didn't mix up the wires on the coil pack? Did you gap the plugs properly if at all? Did you change the fuel injectors/plugs/wires due to the misfire? Did you run your codes? Etc, etc, etc. . . . . .

Also just in case, the correct firing order is . . . .

Engine:
1-2-3
4-5-6

coil pack
5-1
6-2
4-3

Stop just hanging parts on it and find the root problem. I've seen countless people spend hundreds of dollars to solve a $18 problem.

ok....The plugs were gapped right according to the sticker under the hood, the wires are in the correct order, the injectors were replaced due to gasoline leaking...There are no codes to be telling you because the check engine light isnt on....I take it to mechanics and they all tell me the same thing...."well....it could be a number of things"..no matter what the problem is that is the answer I get...so I dont know...I have had problems with this car ever since i bought it in october of 2005....I got the 60k done In december of that year, and since then i have had more problems...so I am pretty much over this car...I test drove a 97 sho today, but wasnt impressed and all i could think about is "you have a sho now, problems, problems, problems..." I should have never got rid of my 99 mustang for this piece, I am kicking myself now...Now I am off looking for another stang...so no need to post more to this, I just wanted to see what others thought, but i feel these cars are too much of a hassle to keep up running and they really arent worth the work, money and time you put into them, I am throwing in the towel with these cars..Never again will i own one...

I've seen cars with no CEL that had like 12 codes. You gotta read them, even if there's no light.

Welcome to the world of owning a used car. An 11-17 year old car no less. Unless you buy a brand new car under warranty, maintenance and troubleshooting comes with owning any used car, whether it's a SHO, Mustang, Camaro, etc.

A basic, logical approach to troubleshooting is usually all it takes to isolate and correct a problem. Yours is probably something simple like a contaminated MAF sensor.
