Received some unexpected snowfall last night which pretty much gridlocked rush hour traffic here. Very impressed with the DWS 06 in the snow/ice. Roads were super slick and car felt great. No spinning from a stop, no issue climbing hills, no sliding in turns. Almost made me feel a bit too confident.

Tires rode comfortable and quiet on dry pavement this morning. So far so good!

Just joined. Last winter I installed Blizzak WS80's on 17" sport rims on my 2011 SHO. Replaced my F1 summer tires on 20" rims. Same height and with the extra side wall, *** holes haven't been an issue. The Blizzaks are pretty quite and handle well in the snow, ice, and slush. Paid $1,200 for rims and tires installed. Last summer I put H&R lowering springs and so far this winter I have had no problems with snow build up in the wheel wells.

I have 18" Michelin Ice3 winter tires and on hard packed snow, I've never driven a better car in those conditions.

I have been lurking on the forum for a few weeks now and it has been great to read all of the feedback and information people have put on here. I just pulled the trigger on a new '15 SHO with PP, magnetic metallic. The deal took a few days of negotiating but I think was an incredible deal on the car. I am in northern Virginia and had a great experience with the dealer (Sterling Ford). Looking forward to putting a few miles on the car and then planning on ordering a Livernois kit and doing a few exterior mods.
Hello xduxjc,
What is a Livernois kit?

Sorry maybe package is the correct word, basically numerous upgrades from Livernois in one package. (Spark plugs, thermostat, cold air intake, tuner, etc).

Glad you like your new SHO xduxjc. Don't mean to jack your thread but does anyone know what the widest rims we can fit are. How would 9.5 or 10 in fit?

OEM Specs are 20 X 8.0. I got 8.5 on my aftermarket but I seriously wouldn't go more than 9.0 at most. Tires would be too wide. Any tire installer recommending above 9.0 is only concerned about the sale not your safety.

9.5 up front, 10 in the back are the widest proven to fit. But if you go with different sized rims/tires, you won't be able to put them in rotation, so build in that extra cost as well.

Thanks I live in Houston, TX. No need for all season tires, if the roads ice a little or one flurry of snow falls, we shut down the city. Ultra max tires only going forward.

Interior LEDs installed and license plate lights (minus middle dome light - waiting on correct bulb as other two lights would stay on)
BrightLite puddle lights installed - huge improvement
Waiting on DRL kit (issue with lights received, spoke to Dan and he is sending replacements)
Tune, 3 Bar MAP sensor and 160 deg. thermostat ordered from Livernois :burnout:

Praying for some decent weather this weekend so I can clean and clay the car for the first time. Still need to tint and look at plasti dipping the chrome on the car. For anyone looking at all season tires, the DWS 06 have been great in snow, rain and dry pavement so far. They are fairly quiet, ride smooth and they grip very well in all conditions so far. I have put about 500 miles on them in various conditions.

+2 on the Claybar......For tint I strongly recommend trying to get minimum of three days at 70F or above or at minimum a heated garage. I still will put my plug in for Winners Window Tint in Rockville, ask for Charlotte or Larry. Tell them the guy who tried to get the city, airport hub named after her discount sent you.

Thanks for the recommendation again, unfortunately I try to avoid driving to Maryland whenever I can :)

I have a shop about a mile away from me that does really nice work, so I will most likely bring it over to them. They guarantee the tint for the life of the car so if there is an issue, it is easy to swing on by for me.

Mostly excited about the tune though. Jaimie has been super responsive and helpful so far, looking forward to getting everything installed!

Looks good....did you order 50% and came out 40? don't feel bad, when I got 50% figuring the OEM of 70 would come out at 35%......MD LEGAL.....Mine came out a bit higher at 45% So if yours came out at 40% that's good.

Good call on the Claybar, I recommend another coating around October see how much contaminants you pick up over the summer.

The tint was supposed to be a 40, trying to be in the middle of the Virginia 30/50 front/back law. Just came out looking a lot darker than expected. I love how it looks, we will just see what LE says about it

Looking forward to getting the DRL on next weekend and then need some warmer weather to plasti dip.

For the DRL Drivers side.....Again your discretion and I can only recommend but strong recommendation to remove Drivers side wheel and the inner fender splash shield only takes a few minutes longer and I think the time will pay for itself when routing the wires up along the inner fender. Also resign your fate and remove the Air Filter for drivers side and Turbo charger charge tube for passengers side. A few little other quirks that I had help with....send me PM with email address if you need photos. If you haven't learned yet google how to use T-Tap Connectors in the mean time while awaiting the DRL kit to arrive

Welcome to the family. Yes please come to FORD Nationals this June. Its a blast.
Where are the Ford nationals being held in June? I'm brand new here. Just got my 15 SHO a few days ago, trading in my Subby STI, an 05. Dealer really wanted it and gave me my asking price.
