I have been lurking on the forum for a few weeks now and it has been great to read all of the feedback and information people have put on here. I just pulled the trigger on a new '15 SHO with PP, magnetic metallic. The deal took a few days of negotiating but I think was an incredible deal on the car. I am in northern Virginia and had a great experience with the dealer (Sterling Ford). Looking forward to putting a few miles on the car and then planning on ordering a Livernois kit and doing a few exterior mods.

Welcome! Yep, those guys over at Koons are pretty good. If you need service, see Alan. He used to have a SHO and he will take care of your car.

Thanks, I am really excited about the car. This is my fourth Ford if you count my first car, '94 ****** Sedan :) In more recent years I owned a '12 Mustang GT Premium for a year and half and then had to trade it on a '13 Explorer Sport that we still have, dogs and kids don't do well in a Mustang.

Currently on a search for All Season Tires and best way to get rid of the chrome trim on the car.

Continental DWS, Pirelli Cinturato, General GMax are some recomnended allseasons. Blizzaks are stalwart winter tires, but many other good ones out there.

Plastidip is the easiest way to hide even the chrome; vinyl wrap is another fav.

Congratulations from a former Mid Atlanticer.........Hope to see you at Carlisle in June. Despite the screen ID I am 2014 SHO

My buddy in Pacific Northwest got a SHO P/P White Platinum and seems to be getting good use out of the Continental DWS. I know that because I got his Goodyear F1's which can be better utilitized in Dallas. Although I cant speak for them on SHO's I can give a good review of the Pirelli Cintaurato's P7 on my SEL for one winter. That winter being 2014-15 PA,MD,VA,OH,IN area. Great traction, dry, wet snow, ice. Limited road noise and overall good tire. I got them from Tire Rack with some Avarus rims. Today I am on Goodyear F1's with Mottino TRE wheels. The OEM flower petals are collecting dust in the garage for trade in.

As for Chrome removal I am not a big fan of the chrome on the grille especially when the rest of the grille is blacked out. Maybe a Black or carbon fiber wrap similar to the carbon fiber trim of the inside center console.

Since your in the DC Metro area might I recommend Winners Window Tint in Rockville, ask for Charlotte or Larry they should be able to help you with tint if your so inclined. They did excellent job on both of my Bulls the 13 SEL and 14 SHO. Worth the trip even from NOVA and make a few hours of it.

Thanks, I have been looking at the Continental DWS 06, seem to have a lot of great reviews and ratings. I drove around in the flurries today with no issue, but looks like 5-10 inches coming on Friday.

Thanks for the tip on window tint as well. I might try D&V Auto for the chrome trim, they did some work on my Mustang previously and did a nice job.

Continental DWS 06 are being put on as we speak and ordered the LED DRL and puddle lights from Drive Bright. Also ordered a white led set for the inside of the car and license plate. Tinting to come next when I can find sometime to get it done, then the dreaded chrome....

Yes the weather sucks and is about to get a lot worse :(

Not so funny story, I went to pick up the car last night with my new Continental DWS 06, and they put on different tires. Car is back in today for the correct tires.

Be ready for the snow and drive carefully. My brother in laws event for DC got re scheduled for next weekend due to snomegeddon. I guess I need to check WTOP.

Thankfully not the dealer. I purchased a set of Continental DWS 06 to replace the summer tires on the car from a tire shop, the tire shop I went to installed a different set of tires on the car, not the DWS 06 I ordered. They matched tire rack prices and saved money on shipping and were super apologetic about the mistake. They are putting the correct tires on today. I will need them starting tomorrow!

Yes my friend you will. My buddy did the same thing with his 15 SHO P/P. As soon as the papers were signed he scheduled removal of the Eagle F1's (A set of lawn ornaments in the Pacific Northwest winter. Fast forward a couple of months later I inherited the F1's which can be used in Dallas, and gave me a reason to get new rims from Tire Rack. OEM Flower petal wheels and rims sitting in the garage for trade in.
