I have had a constant problem with the SHO running like crap for 5 minutes every morning. Seemed like I was pulling a boat between 3k and 4k. Kit would clear up a hit as it got warmer but never seemed to pull like it should even when warm. No codes, just poor perfomance. Over the course of 2 years I replaced many sensors and checked many other aspects of the car. FP FI, filters, no dice. Last week I had found a could of old O2 sensors lying around (read I stole them frmna fellow member's car). The effect was seen right away. I then opted to replace them with brand new sensors.

Booya, problem gone. Surprising that it helped since I never once showed a code.

Anyway, just thought I would share.

Yea o2 sensors can make a huge difference in performance and can also cause alot of problems when they go bad. This isn't the first story I have heard and hopefully more people will replace them regularly during their 60k maintenance.

actually, you took my old ones off my cobblejob cattless y pipe. i kept the ones in spyhunter that were brand new on the catted y pipe that is in my car now which helped me ACE emissions too. had lower specs than the car did when it tested 2 years ago. she runs clean now. the curse of the smoking spyhunter is over.

and i need a front right. the lens peeled off the housing... cant find it anywhere. haven't driven my car since saturday night and hadn't noticed it missing because i had it parked next to an inoperable el camino and derelict Cougar.

two different people left business cards on my car with offers to buy since i moved to this side of the complex... my car has groupies...
