Will be picking up an 11 PP next week and have few questions. I see there are quite a few tuners out there and i am sure it is a matter of preference, but I am wondering if there is an end all best route? I know livernois is prob the biggest with Unleashed and SSI are great as well. Just hoping for advice.

Maintenance first, then tune. That will net you greater rewards in the long run.

Recently it looks like there are a few that most experienced owners are using. None of which are on your list. There are a few threads on this and you should read them just to familiarize yourself and make an informed decision. There is no 100% default best, but there are some agreements with which ones are less preferred. It's not a long list of tuners for a small number platform, so it won't take you that long.

and as above maintenance first and read about the weaknesses of the platform so you can get ahead of any potential issues. That car is already 9ish years old

i was planning on doing a check over everything on the car before mods. i want to replace bushings check all timing and ignition components. replace mounts and brake and suspension components as well. not new to cars just SHO world. coming from an ST that just got destroyed by a lifted truck. will post pics upon delivery. thanks for the info

It's not fun to search but this forum is easier than some. plus there is a whole performance section in the GenIV SHO area. It will be easier than you think.

There is a lot of information on this forum.

I personally run a AJPTurbo Tune on my SHO and my ST. Both are monsters on ethanol.

However I would let Matt at Gearhead tune my SHO as well. Matt has also put alot of R&D into our platform as well. Bigger intercooler, upgraded turbos, ect.

Ortiz Performance does a good job as well and they have a pretty cool website.

I would steer way from LMS. They have really shown their ass in the SHO community as of lately.

SSI is complete junk.

Thanks i was looking into gearhead they seem really reputable. The 11 PP fell through but i found another 11 from carmax with less miles that they are shipping to me. I just dont know if this one is a PP or not. Gotta research it more.
