SO I just bought a 1991 SHO MTX with 136000 miles on it. It looks like the rear is sagging and Ive heard that the rear springs can sag over time. Can we find replacement ones?

Moog Cargo coils

Gen 1 front - CC862
Gen 1 rear - CC839

Gen 2 front - CC858
Gen 2 rear - CC859

Preferred combo = Gen2 fronts with 1+ coil cut and Gen1 rears uncut.

Search for the part number, not by Moog. Other brand names offer the same parts. If the number matches then its what you are looking for.

What does the preferred combo look like compared to the stock ride height? Also how different is that compared to stock as far as ride and handling are concerned?

Ride is a little stiffer than stock which is a good thing in my opinion.

One front coil cut. Uncut rear.

While MOOG has discontinued the CC839, other manufacturers make comparable variable rate springs. You need to look at regular Taurus parts to find them.
