Just picked up a '13 SHO with all the features except PP.

What things should I be on the look out for the next 20-30k miles?

Still have my gen3 as well.

Welcome! I see you got the best color available what do you mean when you say things to look out for? Problems, issues etc? Or what mods to partake in?

Congrats, guy! Openly jealous over here :) How many miles on it, or is it brand new? Look over here for current list of TSBs, the 14-xxxx are not all PDF'd yet though.

Most "urgent" issues would be fuel tank/module check for leak, passenger halfshaft for proper assembly, and oil leak from the rear (firewall) valve cover. Other than that, watch out for oil in the intake/CAC, loose/split turbo piping, etc.

yeah, just problems. I noticed on mine there was a bead of rust just above the windshield. The dealership is going to take care of it, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had that sort of issue.

Awesome, thanks! How would you check for the fuel tank/module leak? Also, the passenger half shaft.. is it common for it to be really loose or something, bearing become worn out fast?

Fuel will leak right out as you pump gas into the tank or soon thereafter as you drive away. Can't miss it if your SHO has the problem.

The halfshaft inspection requires competent mechanical skills to diagnose (some HAVE DIY'd). It was an assembly-time problem, not a wear & tear one.

You can go to http://www.etis.ford.com, or http://owner.ford.com enter in your VIN and check outstanding recalls etc.

Thanks for the info! I noticed when the dealer bought the car from auction they checked the half-shaft and had to replace it, so hopefully I won't run into that problem again.
