I forgot about that. We had one when I worked at napa and i'd never seen spark plugs that bad in my life. IIRC the electrode was worn bad and the ground strap/leg was nearly gone.

Found this post on a Ford forum:

("On other setups, such as the 2.3L Ranger, the PIP and CID signals are both generated from the crankshaft by virtue of a "dual vane actuator" which is essentially a doubled-up Hall-Effect sensor.")

Since the SHO engine has a separate cam position sensor that produces a CID signal, I'm thinking this sensor may not work (not without some modification).

I just looked online at O'reilly's and it let me add the BWD part number below and proceed to the checkout page. I didn't buy one from here. Instead, I found and ordered one (hopefully) from Advance Auto . I have to wait until they confirm the order and ship. Hopefully this means there are still sensors available.

CSS54

Rockauto is also showing one Wells CPS

Advance Auto just sent the shipping confirmation. The website is showing they have at least one sensor in stock and there is a 25 percent off promotion and free shipping.

I tried to order one last night. Kept getting an error message. So I will guess they don't have anymore...

Is the error occurring after you try and complete the order from the check out page? After I ordered my previous one, I tried to see if I could order another one to see if they had any left. The checkout page would say there is none available.

I would think there is another one if they are showing you can put it in your cart and go to the checkout page.

I need one and would like another for a rainy day. I gave my last new one to my step son last month, thinking they were easy to get.

I have a couple used ones I saved while doing 60k maintainance that were replaced because I was there. I will put one of those on. I also ordered one from SHO Source just in case. I am not going to replace them anymore unless they are bad.

Already sold out.
Looks like they found another one. Not sure if people are buying these to use on a Thunderbird SC or hoping it will work on a SHO with some modifications. It looks similar (more than a Ranger one), but unless someone has actually tested it to work on a SHO...(or maybe they are reselling them to Thunderbird owners)

I see no reason a TBird one wouldn't work. The DIS and CMP are compatible between the two cars.

Ranger uses EDIS, not DIS. It's still possible that it will work, but I wouldn't count on it.
